We are proud to have Michael on board as one of our specialist health insurance advisers. He helps clients understand their different options and find the very best policy for their needs.
Michael has worked in the private medical insurance industry for over 17 years, building up a wealth of experience. He began his career with a leading UK insurer, where he developed a strong foundation in health insurance and quickly established himself through his customer-focused approach. After several successful years, he progressed into a management role, gaining valuable leadership experience and a deeper understanding of how to support clients effectively.
He later moved to an advice role with a health insurance broker firm, where he broadened his expertise by working across the full market. This gave him a detailed understanding of the range of cover available and how to carefully match policies to individual needs. Today, he uses this experience to deliver thorough, unbiased comparisons and help clients make confident decisions about their options.
What Michael enjoys most about his role is the opportunity to give clients reassurance and clarity. He believes it’s important that people feel supported throughout the process, understanding that choosing health insurance can be a significant decision. As he puts it: “I want clients to feel confident they’re being properly looked after so we can find the right cover for their needs, and know they’re not just a number to me.”
One of his standout career moments came when a client he had previously helped tracked him down online after he moved roles, calling his new company to specifically ask for his support again. The fact that a client went out of their way to find him is something he considers a real highlight and a reflection of the level of service he strives to provide.
Outside of work, Michael keeps busy with his passion for football. He plays regularly during the week and is also actively involved in the sport as both a coach for an under-eights team and as a referee. It’s a great reflection of how much he values teamwork and helping others grow and learn – qualities that shine through in his day-to-day work.
